Fill out the free online assessment

You need to complete the online assessment on the SnapCorrect website to start the process. It takes less than a minute. It’s a brief form that asks you a few questions about your braces history, your age, and the teeth issues you’d like to address.

You will get the results by email and find out immediately whether you are a good candidate.

Here are a few guidelines that’ll help you decide if SnapCorrect are right for you:

  • All adult teeth are present
  • Second molars have erupted
  • Minor or medium malocclusion
  • Mild underbite or overbite

Not so good

  • Baby teeth are present
  • Severe malocclusion
  • Severe underbite or overbite
  • Gum disease and/or cavities present
  • Not based in the United States

SnapCorrect is flexible when it comes to treatment. Unlike some invisible braces providers, they work with clients who have:

  • missing teeth,
  • permanent retainers,
  • mild underbites, and
  • mild overbites.

Make a good impression

To order an impression kit, you have to create an online SnapCorrect account and fill out the required information. It costs $95.

Once you’ve done that, you can get the impression kit shipped straight to your home. Delivery is completely free.

The SnapCorrect impression kit includes:

  • 4 impression trays,
  • 4 sets of putty,
  • 2 sets of gloves,
  • a smile stretcher,
  • an impression guide,
  • a sealable bag,
  • a sample tray, and
  • a prepaid return shipping label.

The only thing you’ll need to have at home is a timer and a clean towel. You can watch the video below to see exactly how to make your teeth impressions.

It’s important to note that SnapCorrect accept impressions from other companies. They will even send you a shipping label so you don’t have to pay for it out of your own pocket.

Make your impressions and send them back to SnapCorrect. Then use the smile stretcher to take 5 clear and bright digital photos of your teeth. Upload them to the platform. The video below will show you how to do this properly.

Then move on to filling out the consent-to-treat/medical history questionnaire. This helps determine if you’re a good candidate for SnapCorrect aligners. If it turns out that you are not, the company will refund 100% of your money within 10 business days of them receiving your return.

Get your treatment plan

You receive the treatment plan within 2 to 3 weeks after you complete payment and send in your impression kit. The plan includes 3D before-and-after images of your teeth. These will show your projected results.

After you approve your treatment plan, SnapCorrect’s technicians will begin working on your aligners. Depending on your situation, the duration of the whole process can range between 3 and 18 months. This depends on the severity of your malocclusion or misalignment and is unique to each patient.

Receive your aligners

You’ll get the first set about 3 weeks later. The trays are sent separately rather than all at once. Every 2 to 4 weeks, you’ll get your newest pair. A treatment plan typically includes about 6 to 20 pairs of aligners depending on your teeth’s needs.

The aligners are clear and you’ll barely notice them when you’re wearing them. They are FDA-approved and SnapCorrect make them from medical grade plastic that is BPA- and latex-free.

Straighten your teeth with SnapCorrect aligners

When you’re ready to start treatment pop in your first set. The important thing is to do so when your mouth is fresh and clean to prevent any bacteria buildup.

What’s it like to wear the trays?

You should be wearing SnapCorrect aligners at least 20–22 hours of the day. The longer you wear them the better. This is also the case with other invisible braces solutions. This helps the treatment work effectively and as quickly as possible.

Dr. Eric Moryoussef

The aligners should be worn at all times (even during sleep) and should only be taken out when eating, or when cleaning your teeth.

You should take out your aligners during meals or when you are having a snack throughout the day. You also need to take them out to clean them and to brush your teeth.

Dispelling your concerns

Your aligners may feel loose after about a week. It is important to keep wearing them for the prescribed two weeks though, as your treatment plan takes into account movement you can’t feel. It is not advised that you move onto the next set early.

You may also feel some soreness, especially during the first few days of wearing a new set of aligners. This is normal and is a result of tooth movement.

You don’t have to worry if you lose your retainer after treatment. You can purchase another set of retainers from SnapCorrect for $95.

What if I feel like something has gone wrong?

SnapCorrect is an at-home invisible braces solution. This is why they make it easy to contact them before, during, and after your treatment. You will have the assistance you need if something goes wrong.

If you ever need to get a hold of SnapCorrect customer service, you can call or email them Monday to Friday. They get positive reviews and are known for being responsive.

Keep your smile correct

After your treatment, SnapCorrect recommend wearing your retainer all the time for at least 4 months. After that, leave it out during the day, but keep it in at night for a few months to ensure your teeth don’t shift out of place again. Lastly, you can start wearing them only a few nights per week about 7 months after your treatment is completed.

Retainers last about 3 to 6 months. Your first set is free and every additional pair costs $99. You should buy new retainers every few months or so.

The cost of SnapCorrect

SnapCorrect have the same 2 payment plans for all potential customers. You can choose between a one-time payment or a monthly installment plan.

What you’re paying forAmount
Impression kit$95
One-time payment plan$1,749

There are 3 options to choose from that include 6-, 12-, or 24-month payments. APRs range from 10 to 30%. SnapCorrect note that you may have to pay a deposit.

Your insurance may cover the cost of treatment, but impression kits are typically not covered. SnapCorrect also accept FSA and HSA payments and will provide the documentation you’ll need.

SnapCorrect reviews

Mackenzie Bacigalupo, April 15, 2020
I never thought it was possible for my teeth to be corrected so easily (and quickly.)

It’s all thanks to SnapCorrect. 10/10 would recommend investing in your smile. Also yes, I have my aligners on in this picture, they really are THAT clear.

My before-and-after pictures really show the spacing and overbite I had.

Christen Strang, April 15, 2020
It might sound super cliché, but SnapCorrect really has changed my life.

I used to hate my smile with a burning passion. Now I’m like Girl, why didn’t you do this earlier?!

Halee Tucker, April 15, 2020
I rarely smile. Soon I can have full confidence back.

You can probably tell why. I used to have braces but had compilations after I had my wisdom teeth taken out. I have SnapCorrect to fix it though. It’s been helping.

SnapCorrect vs byte

SnapCorrect and byte allow patients to straighten their teeth without braces. They are both strictly remote and only include at-home treatment options. But how do the companies differ?

SnapCorrect’s major advantage is that its aligners are the clearest on the market. Trays like the ones from byte may be a bit cloudy, while SnapCorrect’s are completely transparent.

On the other hand, byte offers the HyperByte which makes the treatment a lot quicker, so you don’t have to wear them for very long. The average time is about 3 months. With SnapCorrect, the journey might last as long as 18 months.

Both brands’ customer service receive great reviews online. You can reach out to them if anything goes wrong or if you feel like you need assurance.

The treatment is almost $150 cheaper at SnapCorrect when comparing regular prices. However, using the code BYTEAUTHORITY2020 you can lower the cost of byte aligners by $100, and the impression kit by additional $65.

byte has lifetime warranty policy,. If you are unsatisfied at any point after the treatment, you can get back on track at no cost. At the same time, SnapCorrect does not provide any information on the warranty on its website.

  • At-home process
  • 3- to 18-month treatment time
  • Clearest aligners on the market
  • Accepts impression kits from other companies

  • 3-month average treatment time
  • HyperByte
  • Great reviews on customer service
  • Lifetime warranty

There are more at-home teeth straightening kits popular on the market, such as SmileDirectClub or Candid. Other options like Invisalign involve wearing trays at home and having a dentist or orthodontist near you oversee the treatment during visits.

Make sure you weigh the pros and cons of each company and check out invisible braces reviews before deciding which option is best for you.

Are SnapCorrect aligners covered by dental insurance?

Whether you can receive reimbursement for your aligners depends on your policy. You have to contact your provider yourself. Ask them about SnapCorrect directly. If your plan covers orthodontia, you are likely to get coverage for treatment.

Will SnapCorrect treatment hurt?

Aligning your teeth includes putting pressure on the dentition in order to force it to move. Any treatment of this kind comes with a degree of discomfort. You can manage pain or soreness with OTC painkillers.

How does SnapCorrect compare to other invisible aligners brands?

SnapCorrect aligners are the clearest on the market. No one at work or school will spot that you are undergoing treatment. The whole process happens online, which is convenient if you have a busy schedule or simply don’t want to leave your house.

Other aligner brands have different advantages. Candid provides patients with more specialist support and SmileDirectClub receives better reviews for treatment and customer service. Weigh the pros and cons and decide what matters most to you.
